OnePlus 13: New Display Panel and Specs Revealed, Launch Imminent in China
Get ready for the next big thing from OnePlus! The Chinese smartphone brand is gearing up to launch its highly-anticipated OnePlus 13, and the excitement is building up. In a recent Weibo post, OnePlus announced that it will be unveiling a new display in partnership with BOE on October 15 at 2:00pm (11:30am IST). This latest second-generation Oriental screen has allegedly bagged the coveted DisplayMate A++ certification for mobile phone screens, making it the world’s first device to achieve this feat. In addition, the panel has reportedly set 21 DisplayMate records.
This OLED display will make its debut in the OnePlus 13, which is expected to feature a quad-curved 6.82-inch LTPO OLED display with QHD+ resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is confirmed to bring enhanced brightness, efficiency, and eye protection.
The OnePlus 13 is also expected to feature a new X2 panel from BOE, which has been developed in collaboration with Oppo. This partnership will see Oppo’s Find X8, set to launch on October 24, also featuring the same display panels.
Other rumored specs of the OnePlus 13 include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, up to 24GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of onboard storage. The phone may also sport a triple rear camera system, comprising a 50-megapixel LYT-808 main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom.
