Falana, Falz Give Bobrisky 12-Hour Ultimatum Over Defamation Claim

Renowned Nigerian human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, and his son, Folarin, also known as Falz, a popular musician, have issued a 12-hour ultimatum to social media personality and crossdresser, Bobrisky. The demand is for Bobrisky to retract a defamatory claim he made against them, alleging that they approached him to secure a presidential pardon for a hefty sum of N10 million.

According to a leaked audio recording shared by social media critic VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky made these claims, which Falana and Falz vehemently denied. The denial sparked a wave of controversy across social media platforms.

In response to Bobrisky’s allegations, Falana and Falz, through their law firm, Falana and Falana’s Chamber, issued a cease-and-desist letter dated October 14, 2024. The letter, signed by Taiwo E. Olawanle and Olorunfemi Akinyemi, characterized Bobrisky’s claims as damaging to their reputation.

The letter stated that Bobrisky took advantage of his recent imprisonment to extort money from artists and the public, claiming that he needed funds to pay Falana to secure a presidential pardon. However, the letter asserts that this was purely a fabrication, as Bobrisky never approached Falana for such a service.

Furthermore, the letter emphasizes that Bobrisky’s decision to involve Falana in his alleged scheme was baseless and a product of his imagination. As a result, Falana and Falz are demanding an immediate retraction of Bobrisky’s defamatory statements, along with a public apology on all platforms where the false claims were shared.

If Bobrisky fails to comply with their demands within the specified 12-hour time frame, Falana and Falz have stated that they will pursue legal action, including seeking monetary damages for the malicious defamatory statements. The situation has garnered significant attention, with many waiting to see how Bobrisky will respond to the ultimatum.
