Apple has rolled out significant updates to its Business Connect service, enabling companies to connect with customers more efficiently, even in the absence of a physical presence. This move marks a crucial step forward in improving customer interactions and trust in the digital landscape.
The new features allow businesses to showcase their information across Apple’s ecosystem, including Apple Wallet, Mail, and Maps apps. Furthermore, when a verified business contacts a customer via phone or email, their brand name and logo will appear, providing instant recognition and helping to combat spam calls.
To utilize these features, businesses must register for the Branded Mail feature through the Business Connect platform. Following verification, their logo will be displayed to customers, with the rollout expected to occur in the coming months.
In addition, Apple has announced the introduction of Business Caller ID, a new feature that permits companies to display employee information, including names and departments, alongside the corporate logo, when making calls to customers. This innovation, set to launch next year, promises to elevate the trust and transparency of business-to-customer interactions.
Another significant update affects companies using Tap to Pay on iPhone in 12 countries: Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Taiwan, Ukraine, the UK, and the US. Businesses in these regions can now display their company logo on the payment screen, replacing the generic category icon and providing customers with more information during transactions.
To tap into these features, businesses simply need to log in to the Business Connect platform using their Apple ID. Notably, Apple will not charge any fees for customizing brand information, and the features will be accessible to businesses with or without a physical presence.
These enhancements underscore Apple’s ongoing commitment to fostering a seamless and secure experience for businesses and their customers. By promoting verified interactions and detailed information sharing, the tech giant is empowering companies to establish trust and strengthen relationships in an increasingly digital world.
