Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has announced that OxygenOS 15, its next major operating system update, will begin rolling out to eligible devices later this month. The company has confirmed that OxygenOS 15, based on Android 15, will bring a redesigned interface, improved multitasking capabilities, and smoother animations. Additionally, the update will introduce new features powered by artificial intelligence (AI) across various apps.
According to OnePlus, the OxygenOS 15 update will be released on October 24 during an online event scheduled for 3:30 pm IST. This follows the company’s typical rollout pattern, which often prioritizes its latest flagship devices. Last year’s OxygenOS 14 update, based on Android 14, was released on September 25, with a phased rollout to eligible devices completed earlier this year.
OnePlus has also teased some of the key changes coming to OxygenOS 15. The update is expected to bring a revamped user interface with improved animations, providing users with a more seamless and engaging experience. The integration of AI-powered features will further enhance the user experience, allowing for more intuitive interactions and streamlined performance.
In terms of eligibility, the OxygenOS 15 update is expected to roll out to various devices in different regions over the coming months. OnePlus offers three variants of OxygenOS globally: India, Global/EU, and North America, which are tailored to the specific markets where its handsets are released. The company typically prioritizes its flagship devices for major updates, with the OnePlus 12 likely to receive the update first.
Other devices expected to receive the OxygenOS 15 update include the OnePlus Open, OnePlus 12R, OnePlus 11, OnePlus 11R, OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 10R, and OnePlus 10T. Additionally, the OnePlus Nord 4, Nord 3, Nord CE 4, Nord CE4 Lite, Nord CE3 Lite, and Nord CE3 are also expected to receive the update, along with the OnePlus Pad and OnePlus Pad 2, which will be updated to Android 15-based OxygenOS 15.
With the OxygenOS 15 update just around the corner, OnePlus users can look forward to a host of exciting new features and improvements that will elevate their overall user experience.
