Vivo’s upcoming foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold 4, has been spotted on the TENAA website, revealing key specifications ahead of its expected launch in 2025. According to the listing, the Vivo X Fold 4 will feature a larger battery capacity than its predecessor, the Vivo X Fold 3.
The TENAA listing, which was first reported by 91Mobiles, reveals a model number V2429 associated with the unannounced Vivo X Fold 4. The listing suggests a battery capacity of 6,365mAh, which is likely to be marketed as a 6,500mAh cell. This is a significant upgrade over the Vivo X Fold 3’s 5,500mAh battery.
In addition to the larger battery, the Vivo X Fold 4 is expected to feature dual 5G SIM support, satellite navigation (GLONASS) support, and run on Android 15. The listing also suggests that the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.
While Vivo has not announced any details about the Vivo X Fold 4, the company’s previous launches suggest that the new model may arrive in the first half of 2025. The Vivo X Fold 2 and Vivo X Fold 3 were launched in April and March, respectively, in China.
The Vivo X Fold 3, which was launched earlier this year, features an 8.03-inch primary 2K AMOLED display and a 6.53-inch AMOLED cover screen. It boasts a triple camera unit on the back, composed of a 50-megapixel VCS bionic primary camera, and carries 32-megapixel selfie shooters on both inner and external screens. The device has an IPX4-rated build and starts at a price of CNY 6,999 (approximately Rs. 80,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage version.
As the foldable smartphone market continues to evolve, Vivo’s upcoming device is expected to offer improved specifications and features. With its larger battery capacity, advanced chipset, and enhanced camera capabilities, the Vivo X Fold 4 is likely to be a strong contender in the foldable smartphone market.
