Popular Food YouTuber Discovers Mold in Lunchly, Putting Spotlight on Safety Concerns
A recent video by food YouTuber Rosanna Pansino has sparked concern among viewers and fans of the popular meal pack Lunchly. In the 20-minute video, which has gained over half a million views, Pansino appears to discover mold in the cheese of a pizza Lunchly, a product endorsed by MrBeast, Logan Paul, and KSI.
Pansino’s video compares Lunchly to its rival, Lunchables, and showcases various Lunchly options such as "Fiesta Nachos," "The Pizza," and "Turkey Stack ‘Ems," which come with MrBeast’s Feastables chocolate and a bottle of Paul’s Prime drink. However, the surprise discovery of mold in the shredded mozzarella cheese has left many viewers stunned. Despite the packaging indicating a longer shelf life, the moldy cheese raises concerns about the product’s safety and quality.
"It’s so much mold, this is terrible," Pansino says in the video, emphasizing that she did not fake the discovery. She also compares the moldy Lunchly to a non-moldy one, pointing out that the seal might not have been tight on the affected product, potentially causing the mold growth. Pansino’s findings are not isolated, as other videos online have also claimed to show mold on their Lunchly’s cheese, suggesting a possible recurring issue.
The creators behind Lunchly have not addressed the mold claims online, leaving many fans and customers worried about the product’s safety. In response to a request for comment, a Lunchly representative stated, "All Lunchly products go through a stringent review process to ensure the quality and safety of its products. That process consists of multiple inspections and approvals, including that of the USDA, before any product can even leave the manufacturing facility."
As the investigation into the mold claims continues, it remains to be seen how Lunchly will address the concerns and prevent similar incidents in the future. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of prioritizing food safety and quality control in the production process.
