Poco Launches Affordable C75 Smartphone Globally

Poco, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, has unveiled its latest affordable smartphone, the Poco C75. This device is a rebranded version of the Redmi 14C, which was released in August, and shares many of its specifications. The Poco C75 is designed to offer impressive features at a budget-friendly price, making it an attractive option for those seeking a high-quality smartphone without breaking the bank.

The Poco C75 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G8 Ultra chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It features a 50-megapixel rear camera, allowing users to capture stunning images and videos. Additionally, the device has a 5,160mAh battery with support for 18W charging, ensuring users can enjoy their smartphone for extended periods without needing to recharge. The Poco C75 runs on Android 14, with Xiaomi’s HyperOS skin on top, providing users with a seamless and intuitive experience.

In terms of pricing, the Poco C75 starts at $109 (approximately Rs. 9,170) for the 6GB+128GB RAM and storage configuration. The handset is also available in an 8GB+256GB variant, priced at $129 (roughly Rs. 10,900). Notably, Poco has stated that these are ‘early bird’ prices, which may be revised at a later date. The device is available in three colour options: Black, Gold, and Green.

The Poco C75 boasts a range of impressive features, including a 6.88-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness level of 600nits. The device also includes a 13-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture, as well as an unspecified auxiliary lens to complement the 50-megapixel rear camera. Connectivity options are aplenty, with 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port all included.

Other notable features of the Poco C75 include an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, e-compass, and virtual proximity sensor. The device also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and measures 171.88×77.8×8.22mm, weighing 204g.

While the Poco C75 does not ship with a charger, its long-lasting battery and range of features make it an appealing option for those seeking an affordable smartphone without compromising on quality. With its competitive pricing and impressive specifications, the Poco C75 is set to capture a significant share of the budget smartphone market.
