Google is ringing in Halloween with a delightful new Doodle game, featuring the beloved magic-wielding black cat, Momo. This marks the third installment in the Google Doodle’s Magic Cat Academy series, showcasing Momo as she once again waves her wand to banish mischievous ghosts.

First introduced in Google’s 2016 Halloween Doodle, Momo quickly became a fan favorite after battling spectral creatures in a Harry Potter-inspired school. She made her return in 2020, diving into the ocean to defeat ghouls lurking beneath the waves. This year, Momo is taking to the skies, riding a broomstick to confront wraiths high above the earth.

In the 2024 edition of the Magic Cat Academy game, players are tasked with drawing symbols above the ghosts’ heads to send them packing. While the mechanics are straightforward, the challenge intensifies as players encounter a variety of ghostly foes, each requiring different symbols to be drawn, often all at once.

The 2024 Magic Cat Academy Google Doodle will be available on the Google homepage for a limited time of 48 hours, perfect for entertaining those waiting for trick-or-treaters. After the initial run, fans can revisit this year’s Halloween Doodle, along with a collection of past Halloween Google Doodles, in the Google Doodle library.
