Lobi Stars Football Club has announced the addition of Finnish coach Mika Lönnström to their technical crew as they seek to turn around a disappointing start to the 2024/25 season. According to Media Talk Africa, Lönnström will work closely with technical adviser Daniel Amokachi to refine the club’s strategies and performance.
The 50-year-old coach has already integrated himself into the team, joining them in Ikenne in preparation for their upcoming match against Remo Stars on Sunday. His presence was felt during the team’s evening training session held at the Remo Stars Stadium, where he began familiarizing himself with the players and their playing style.
Lobi Stars, known as the Pride of Benue, have struggled in the early stages of the season, managing only two victories in their first nine games. This new appointment reflects the club’s commitment to enhancing their performance and competitiveness in the league. As they look to improve their standings, the experience and expertise that Lönnström brings could be pivotal for the team’s success moving forward.
