Osun Indigenes in Ondo State Back Agboola Ajayi for Governorship Election

Ahead of the November 16 governorship election, Osun State indigenes residing in Ondo State have officially thrown their weight behind Agboola Ajayi, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate. This show of support came during a political rally in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, just days before the crucial vote.

The gathering, which took place on Tuesday, saw Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State join Ajayi in campaigning across local government areas. Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Adeleke urged his fellow Osun indigenes to rally behind Ajayi, emphasizing that the PDP was the party of progress.

Adeleke pointed out the accomplishments of his administration in Osun, claiming that in just two years, his government had achieved what had eluded the state for over a decade. “All the things they didn’t do in 12 years, we have done in two years in Osun,” he told the audience, further calling on his supporters to ensure victory for the PDP candidate.

He expressed confidence in Ajayi’s ability to replicate the successes of Osun in Ondo State, noting that Ajayi’s experience at the grassroots level would be instrumental in delivering positive change. “If we trust in God, everything is possible,” Adeleke added.

Ajayi, visibly moved by the support, promised to deliver a government focused on the welfare of all citizens in Ondo State. He reiterated his commitment to ensuring that Ondo residents would benefit from his leadership if elected.

The chairman of the Osun State indigenes in Ondo, Mr. Kehinde Ayinla, also pledged full support for Ajayi, citing his deep understanding of both the state’s challenges and the needs of its people. Ayinla assured the PDP candidate of significant backing across Ondo’s 18 local government areas, signaling a strong push for Ajayi in the upcoming election.

As the election draws near, the endorsement from Osun indigenes in Ondo State is poised to play a key role in shaping the political landscape, with many seeing it as a significant boost for Agboola Ajayi’s bid for the governorship seat.
