CAFWCL: Edo Queens coach, Aduku targets winning start against CBE

Edo Queens head coach, Moses Aduku has reiterated his team’s desire to open their campaign at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League on a winning note.

The Nigerian champions will face fellow debutants, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia in Casablanca on Sunday (today).

Edo Queens emerged champions at the WAFU B Women’s Championship earlier in the year.

Aduku is aware the CAF tournament will be a different challenge but is determined to see his side excel again.

“This is a dream opportunity for us to evaluate ourselves against high-level teams,” he told a press conference ahead of the game against CBE.

“We have already played against some of the best teams and managed to get results in the qualifiers.

“We are therefore confident in our ability to perform well here, and we are determined to remain competitive while giving the best of ourselves.”
