Court nullifies Ebonyi PDP congresses

A Federal High court sitting in Abakaliki on Monday nullified all the congresses conducted by the Peoples Democratic party, PDP, in Ebonyi State.

The nullification affected the ward, local government and state congresses held by the party.

The court, in its judgment in the suit numbered, FHC/ AI/CS/183/2024 BETWEEN: Hon. Nnenna Lynda Udeh & 12 Ors.v. PDP & Anor., nullified the congresses for being unconstitutional.

The court also restrained INEC, which was the 2nd defendant in the suit, from recognising any of the officers purportedly elected from the nullified congresses for any purposes whatsoever.
