Transfer: Arokodare reveals why he rejected Trabzonspor move

Genk forward, Tolu Arokodare has revealed why he rejected a move to Turkish Super Lig club, Trabzonspor this past summer.

The Nigerian was close to joining Trabzonspor but later changed his mind.

Arokodare said Genk coach, Thorsten Fink talked him out of a move to the Black Sea Storm.

“It’s true that I was almost gone, but (Thorsten) Fink convinced me to stay,” he told Het Laatste Nieuws: “

“Look, I didn’t really want to go to Turkey. At my age, you should only do that if it’s Galatasaray, Besiktas and Fenerbahçe. Yet at some point I started considering it.”

Arokodare has so far scored nine league goals for the Smurfs this season.
