AFCON 2025Q: Benin coach, Rohr plans to exploit Super Eagles weak defence

Benin Republic head coach, Gernot Rohr has identified the Super Eagles weakness ahead of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday five encounter.

The Cheetahs will entertain their neighbours at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Thursday.

Rohr’s men occupy second position in Group D with six points from four games.

They need to beat the Super Eagles to boost their chances of qualifying for the AFCON 2025 finals.

The German stated that the Super Eagles have a weak defence which they will look to exploit.

“We have the return of Lenny Piringuel who, with his new club, Rouen, is starting to find his mark, his liveliness, interests us a lot.

“Especially against a Nigerian team that could have small problems in defence, we hope,” Rohr was quoted by Mega Sports.
