Content creators more supportive than musicians – Gilmore

Popular content creator Gilmore has stated that Nigerian content creators support each other more than musicians.

He believes that this mutual support is the key to the significant success that Nigerian content creators are experiencing.

The skit maker also emphasized that social media plays a crucial role in their success, noting that people tend to watch content on their phones more than on television nowadays.

Speaking in a recent interview with Hip TV, Gilmore said, “Content creators enjoy massive success because it [the content-creating industry] is more supportive than the music industry.

“This is 2024; everybody is on their phone. People no longer watch TV. You can make money off social media.”

He disclosed that afrobeats singer Ayra Starr is his ideal woman while Niniola was his childhood crush.
