Ondo Election: Despite his shortcomings, Aiyedatiwa’ll return as Gov – Pastor Giwa

The Senior Pastor of The Second Coming of Christ’s Ministry, TSCCM, Adewale Giwa, on Friday, said Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa would emerge successful in tomorrow’s gubernatorial election.

Pastor Giwa assured the people of Ondo State that despite the governor’s shortcomings, he would emerge victorious in Saturday’s polls.

Speaking with Media Talk Africa, the clergyman expressed hope that the governor would transform Ondo State during the next four years of his administration after Saturday’s victory.

He said: “Aiyedatiwa is the next governor of Ondo State despite his shortcomings. We are hoping that God would touch him to transform Ondo State within the next four years of his administration.”

Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress, APC, would be heading into Saturday’s election as the strongest of all the contestants as an incumbent governor.

He will face opposition like Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olusola Ebiseni of the Labour Party, LP, and Abbas Mimiko of the Zenith Labour Party.

Meanwhile, there have been claims that the governor failed to perform since assuming office after the death of his predecessor, Rotimi Akeredolu in 2023.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had accused Aiyedatiwa of neglecting infrastructure projects inherited from Akeredolu, such as the Unimed Teaching Hospital in Akure.

He was also accused of neglecting other sectors in the state like education, roads, healthcare, and agriculture.
