Edo: Gov Okpebholo appoints Paddy Iyamu SUBEB chairman, Inegbenehi MD Waste Mgt Board

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has appointed Dr Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu as the Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB.

Media Talk Africa reports that Paddy Iyamu replaced Mrs. Ozavize E. Salami who was recently relieved of her appointment by the governor.

The governor also appointed Lucky Enehita-Inegbenehi as the Managing Director of the State Waste Management Board.

Fred Itua, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, who disclosed this to newsmen in Benin City, said the two announcements were contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, on Friday.

The SSG said the appointment of the duo was with immediate effect.

According to the statement: “It is hereby announced for the information of the general public that the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the appointment of Dr. Iyamu.

“Paddy Iyamu holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Benin. He is also a holder of a Doctor of Science in Petroleum Resources from the European American University.

“Dr. Paddy Iyamu is a strategic leader and renowned expert in security, business administration, and human resources. An alumnus of Oxford University (Said Business School), he holds a professional doctorate in Leadership and Management from the City University of Paris.

“With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Iyamu has excelled across the banking, oil, and gas sectors, significantly improving corporate security and crisis management operations.

“Until his appointment, Dr. Iyamu was the Chief Executive Officer of Gabbem Integrated Services Ltd., a leading company specialising in marine equipment and services.

Inegbenehi, who has a BSc in Human Resources and an MSc in Strategic Leadership and Governance was until his appointment the Chief Executive Officer of JEI Visions Iron Metals, JEI Visions Service Apartments and JEI Visions Cleaning Services, according to the statement.
