AFCON 2025 Qualifiers: Two Super Eagles players to miss Rwanda clash

Nigeria could be without at least two players when they take on Rwanda in their final 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Monday.

The Super Eagles arrived back in the country on Friday afternoon, following their 1-1 draw with Benin Republic.

The three-time African champions qualified for the tournament before a ball was kicked in Abidjan, thanks to Libya’s 1-0 victory in Twanda.

However, for their last fixture in the qualifying series, Augustine Eguavoen will be without Ola Aina.

Aina has flown back to the UK and it is yet to be confirmed why he didn’t return with the team.

First-choice goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, is also set to be excused from the Rwanda clash.

Nwabali lost his father on Thursday and confirmed the sad news on his Instagram page.
