NPFL: Musa rescues Pillars from defeat

Ahmed Musa salvaged a point for Kano Pillars as they battled to a 2-2 draw against Heartland at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.

Heartland went in front through Suraj Lawal six minutes after the break, while Rabiu Ali equalised for the hosts in the 57th minute.

Lawal struck again two minutes later before Musa rescued a point for Pillars 15 minutes later.

In the biggest match of the weekend, Remo Stars and Rivers United battled to a 1-1 draw in Ikenne.

At the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, Ikorodu City defeated Shooting Stars 2-1 in the South West derby.

Anthony Okachi put Shooting Stars ahead after 14 minutes.

Shola Adelani and Rivio Ayemnwere scored for Ikorodu City to extend their unbeaten streak to three games.
