AFCON 2025Q: Eguavoen starts Okoye, Iheanacho, Boniface vs Rwanda

Super Eagles caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has released his starting X1 for tonight’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday six encounter against the Amavubi of Rwanda.

Udinese shot stopper, Maduka Okoye, will take the place of the bereaved Stanley Nwabali in goal.

Bright Osayi-Samuel will also take the place of injured Ola Aina at right-back, while Boavista’s Bruno Onyemaechi keeps his position at left-back.

Captain William Troost-Ekong will partner Gabriel Osho at the heart of the defence.

Frank Onyeka, Alhassan Yusuf and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru will operate in the three-man midfield.

Bayer Leverkusen striker, Victor Boniface will lead the attack, and will be supported by Moses Simon and Kelechi Iheanacho.

The encounter, slated for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, will start at 5:00 pm Nigeria time.
