Transfer: Man Utd to sign Sporting teenager with £84m release clause

Manchester United want to sign Sporting teenager Geovany Quenda, according to Portuguese outlet A Bola.

The report claims the Red Devils were interested in the 17-year-old before appointing Ruben Amorim as head coach.

Amorim has already begun work as the new United head coach.

United are said to want to secure an agreement for Quenda early ahead of a summer transfer.

The wing-back, who can also play as a wide forward, has a release clause of around £84m.

But United’s initial offer is not expected to be lower than £33m.
