CAFWCL: Edo Queens want third position – Aduku

Edo Queens head coach, Moses Aduku says his team want to end their campaign at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League in style by securing third position.

The debutants lost 3-1 to TP Mazembe of Democratic Republic of Congo in the semi-final on Tuesday.

The Nigeria champions will face Egypt’s FC Masar in the third-place match on Friday.

Aduku said it is important for his team to return home with a medal.

” It’s a football game, you win some, you lose some. But we are not down, we are not out yet, we are fighting for the 3rd place,” he told a press conference.

“So by tomorrow (Friday) I am expecting my girls to go all out and see how the can win the bronze medal.

“I know it’s not gonna be an easy one, the Egyptian team is also a good team. The last time we play them it was goalless but I believe goalless will not give us a bronze. So, definitely, we need to go all out to win.”
