NNL: Gateway United unveil Allen as new head coach

Gateway United have announced veteran tactician Festus Allen as their new head coach.

The Abeokuta-based club announced Allen’s appointment at a brief ceremony at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, on Thursday.

Allen penned a one-year contract with Gateway United.

The newly appointed tactician will be assisted by Shakiru Lawal, assistant coach 1, while Emmanuel Bamidele and Michael Soniregun will serve as the assistant coach 2 and goalkeeper coach, respectively.

Ogun State Commissioner for Sports Development, Wasiu Isiaka, urged the technical crew to give their utmost best in their new roles, assuring them of the full support of the entire state to achieve success.

“Today, we unveil a new technical crew to lead us on this transformative journey,” Isiaka stated during the unveiling ceremony.

“You are here to inspire, to build a legacy, and to strengthen the bond with our unique community. This is your opportunity to leave an indelible mark.”

Allen managed Ijebu United last season.
