Media Talk Africa reports that Ronaldo is the most followed person across all social media platforms, with about 1 billion followers.
However, speaking in an interview with popular YouTuber, MrBeast during the latest episode of his YouTube channel UR Cristiano, he noted that his achievement was predictable because of the unwavering support of his fans.
In a now-viral clip published on Thursday, Ronaldo attributed his achievement to the global love for his career.
“It was a good achievement, but I was not surprised. To be honest, I know the passion that people have for me and football as well. So it wasn’t a surprise.
“I feel happy, but in the same way, not surprised.”
