New Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has revealed that Fenerbahce boss Jose Mourinho sent him a message after he got the job.
Amorim will take charge of his first game at Ipswich on Sunday.
The 39-year-old replaces Erik ten Hag, who was sacked with the Red Devils sitting in 13th place.
Ahead of the trip to Portman Road, Amorim has said Mourinho, who also managed United in the past, gave him inside information about the club.
Amorim said: “He sent me a message. He said it is a big club, with lovely people. It still is. That is correct.
“A lot of things have changed. We are in a different building now and building a new one.
“I am a different guy. I was learning and I hope to teach my players a few things.
“This is still the best club in England and we want to win.”
