FRSC hands over N630,750 to relatives of accident victims in Zamfara

Zamfara State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has handover the sum of N630,750 to relatives of accident victims in the state.

This was disclosed in a press statement issued by the spokesman of the Command, Isah Aliyu and made available to newsmen in Gusau, the state capital.

According to the statement, the road traffic accident, caused by wrongful overtaking and over-speeding, involved a bus with registration number ABJ758XB and a Volkswagen Golf.

The statement said, “The accident occurred on 21/11/2024, along Gus-Funtuwa at Tazame village around 1145hrs.

“On receipt on the distress call, the FRSC standby rescue team immediately reported to the scene, rescued the victims and took them to the Federal Medical Center, FMC, Gusau.

“The team recovered some items belonging to the victims which included 3 Tecno keypads, 2 Android smartphones and the sum of six hundred and thirty thousand, seven hundreds and fifty naira which was handed over to the relatives of the victims, Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmad Karakkai.

“The DCC, M Shehu, handed over the money and items on behalf of the Sector Commander, Tijjani IIiyasu.

“The vehicle were traveling from Abuja to Zamfara State when the accident occurred.”
