NPFL: Remo Stars overcome 3SC in derby, Ikorodu City extend unbeaten run

Sikiru Alimi and Olamilekan Adedayo were both on target as Remo Stars defeated Shooting Stars 2-0 in the South West derby on Wednesday night.

Alimi opened the scoring for the hosts from the penalty spot in first half stoppage time.

The hosts doubled their advantage through Adedayo one minute after the hour mark.

At the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, Ikorodu City extended their unbeaten streak to five games following a 2-0 victory over El-Kanemi Warriors.

Shola Adelani and Ayomide Cole were on target for the hosts in the game.

In Ijebu Ode, Rivers United were held to a 1-1 draw by Sunshine Stars.

Timothy Zechariah gave Rivers United the lead after three minutes, while Peter Awosanmi equalised for the visitors one minute after the hour mark.
