NPFL: Aweroro talks down Ikorodu City’s title aspiration

Ikorodu City head coach, Nurudeen Aweroro has talked down his team’s chances of winning the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this season.

The Oga Boys moved to third position on the log following a 4-1 victory over Akwa United on Sunday.

Aweroro said his team’s goal is to continue winning games in the NPFL.

“I feel so happy for the win because it moved us up on the log,” he stated in a post-match interview.

“We are not mounting any title challenge as we just want to win games and remain in the league.”

Ikorodu City will face Bayelsa United in their next league game.
