Bauchi APC Elders decry escalating hardship

The Tinubu/Kashim Elders Mobilisation Circle of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State have expressed concern over the worsening economic hardship in Nigeria, urging the Federal Government to take urgent action.

Speaking in an interview with journalists on Monday, the secretary of the Tinubu/Kashim Elders Mobilisation Circle, Isah Marafa urged the FG to address rising inflation, soaring living costs, and the deteriorating conditions in critical sectors like security, education, and healthcare.

Marafa lamented the severe impact of rising fuel prices, which he said affects “every facet of the life of average Nigerians.”

While acknowledging the federal government’s commitment to reversing the economic downturn, he called for swift and decisive measures to stabilize the economy and alleviate the suffering of citizens.

“Our leaders must address the current economic hardship. Poor Nigerians need immediate relief,” Marafa said, urging Bauchi State leaders to take proactive steps to support their constituents.

He further called for divine intervention, urging Nigerians to seek God’s mercy and guidance for a turnaround in the nation’s fortunes. “Only God can lift us,” he stated.
