Bayer Leverkusen’s head coach, Xabi Alonso, has provided a fresh injury update on Victor Boniface.
Boniface suffered a thigh injury while on international duty last month.
The 23-year-old is expected to be sidelined until early 2025.
Alonso is, however, optimistic that the Nigeria international will be back in action even though he refused to give a timeline on the forward’s recovery.
“We have hope,” the former Spain international was quoted by Liga Insider.
“He is on the right track, but it is too early to say when he will be back.”
