NPFL: Ikorodu City will cope with Ojetoye’s absence – Aweroro

Ikorodu City head coach, Nurudeen Aweroro, says that the invitation of defender Waliu Ojetoye for the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers against Ghana won’t affect the progress of his team.

Ojetoye is among the 30 players invited by head coach Augustine Eguavoen for the clash with the Black Galaxies

Aweroro said that the team has a capable replacement for the club captain.

“We have players that will cover up for players that have received call up to the Super Eagles B team,” Aweroro stated to the media.

“We signed like 30 players and others too can do the job.”

The home-based players are expected to report to the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Wednesday, December 4, for their camping exercise.
