Matthew Knowles, the father of American pop star, Beyoncé, has shared an interesting detail about the singer’s childhood.

He revealed that the singer was “shy growing up” but became more confident when she started singing.

He said her talent and determination “turned everyone around her into a believer.”

Mr Knowles stated this while celebrating Beyoncé for being crowned as the greatest popstar of the 21st century by Billboard in a post on X.

He said he wasn’t surprised by her emergence as the greatest popstar of the 21st century, stressing that he knew she was “meant for greatness from the moment I held you in my arms for the first time!”

On his X handle, he wrote, “Beyoncé was shy growing up. But, as soon as she started singing, it was like a different person emerged and we knew from a very young age that she was destined to pursue her passion in music.”
