Bundesliga: Boniface set to sign new bumper contract at Bayer Leverkusen

Victor Boniface is edging closer to signing a new contract with Bundesliga champions, Bayer Leverkusen.

Boniface has established himself as Die Werkself’s leading scorer since his arrival at the BayArena two years ago.

The 23-year-old registered 21 goals and 10 assists to help Xabi Alonso’s side win the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal last season.

The forward has been linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks.

In a bid to ward off interest in the striker, Leverkusen have offered him a new contract, according to Transfer News Live.

Boniface has four years left on his contract with the club.

The striker is currently recuperating from the injury he sustained on international duty last month.
