EPL: Arsenal lucky to get away with two goals against Man Utd – Tony Adams

Former Arsenal star, Tony Adams, has counted the club lucky to have escaped with their two goals during their Premier League clash with Manchester United on Wednesday.

Adams said that Jurrien Timber and William Saliba were lucky to get away unpunished during their game against Manchester United.

Arsenal beat Manchester United 2-0 at the Emirates in the Premier League, thanks to goals from Timber and Saliba, on Wednesday, December 4.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, Adams accepted that Timber got away with a push on Rasmus Hojlund for the goal.

“The cross from Declan Rice is on a six pence every time, he must be practising,” he said.

“And it is the little guy who is scoring, the delivery is that good it doesn’t matter if you’re Timber. There is a little push at the near post he has got away with and he’s flicked it in,” said Adams.

“There’s a little touch from Timber, he has pushed him out of the way and it is a little flick into the goal. Referees are not blowing this stuff up now. But I am not complaining, this is brilliant.

“Look at Saliba, he ends up scoring and he’s pushed him. The referee has let it all go. Stop the goalkeeper, pin the goalkeeper, you can’t get out to challenge and they move the defenders around,” he said.
