St Pauli star Afolayan craves super Eagles chance

St. Pauli forward, Oladapo Afolayan, is looking forward to playing for the Super Eagles at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Media Talk Africa reports.

Afolayan was born in England to Nigerian parents. The 27-year-old joined St. Pauli from Bolton Wanderers in January 2023 and helped the club gained promotion to the Bundesliga last season.

The versatile striker has scored two goals and provided one assist in 13 appearances for Kiezkicker this season.

Afolayan hopes to keep working hard and get the chance to play for Nigeria at the 2026 World Cup finals.

“I want to kick on again, play international football. Play for Nigeria at the next World Cup, and hopefully as long as my performances keep being strong and improving, then I’ll do that,”he told the Bundesliga.
