EPL: He’s experienced – Ex-Chelsea captain hails Nigeria’s Iwobi after scoring two goals

Former Chelsea and England captain, Karen Carney has showered praises on Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi after his impressive display in Fulham’s Premier League 3-1 win against Brighton.

Iwobi scored a brace to help Marco Silva’s side defeat Brighton at Craven Cottage on Thursday.

Speaking about the Nigeria international, Carney noted that the former Arsenal and Everton star is now mature and experienced.

“He has always been a worker, grafter in the team, but it’s that quality. I think tonight playing in that more central role, he had that responsibility,” Karen Carney said on Premier League Productions.

“He’s matured now, he’s 28, he’s an experienced player under a manager that gets the best out of people.

“Marco is certainly getting the best out of Alex Iwobi there.”
