EPL: We’re less reliant on Cole Palmer this season – Chelsea coach, Maresca

Chelsea boss, Enzo Maresca has claimed that his team is less reliant on Cole Palmer this season.

Maresca stated this ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League tie with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Recall that Palmer was Chelsea’s best player last season.

The England international led the Blues to finish in 6th position on the Premier League table last season with his goals and assists.

This season, Palmer has been impressive for Maresca’s side so far.

He has 15 combined goals and assists in the Premier League this season.

“This season we are less reliant on Cole Palmer and we are very happy,” Maresca said at his pre-match press conference (via Fabrizio Romano).

“If you remember in my first press conference I said that we cannot rely on Cole for every game… because it is not correct. He has to enjoy football.”
