Sokoto United head coach, Peter Ajeni has attributed his team’s Nigeria National League (NNL) matchday one victory to hard work.
The Caliphate Boys defeated Jigawa Golden Stars 2-0 at Giginya Memorial Stadium on Sunday.
Yahaya Malamcy and Christopher Ododo grabbed the goals for Sokoto United.
Ajeni said that the victory was a testament to the team’s dedication.
“We are delighted with the win, and it’s a testament to the team’s hard work and dedication,” Ajeni stated in a post-match interview.
“We also thank God for the victory.”
