Transfer: Awaziem swaps club in MLS

Nigeria defender, Chidozie Awaziem has joined Major League Soccer (MLS) club, Colorado Rapids.

Colorado Rapids signed the Nigerian from another MLS club, FC Cincinnati.

The centre-back signed a one-year contract with the option of another two years.

The 27-year-old was on the books of FC Cincinnati for just one season.

Awaziem made 14 appearances across all competitions for the club and recorded three assists.

He was part of NigerIa’s squad to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
