Bandits abduct 12, injure 2 in separate attacks on Katsina communities

Armd bandits have carried out two separate attacks in Funtua and Dandume local government areas of Katsina State, abducting 12 people and injuring two.

Media Talk Africa gathered that in Unguwar Dahiru, Funtua LGA, the bandits injured two people and abducted at least ten, including men and women.

It was also learnt that hours earlier, bandits blocked a road near Jarumai in Dandume LGA, kidnapping two travellers and moved away with their motorcycles.

A resident of Unguwar Dahiru, Bala Ishiaku, who spoke with Media Talk Africa on telephone, said the bandits have not contacted the families of the victims for ransom payment.

According to him, the people of the area have been living in fear, while many have deserted the area as everyone is afraid that the bandits may return for another operation.
