Transfer: Arteta clears air on Arsenal striker leaving club in January

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has dismissed rumours suggesting that striker Gabriel Jesus could leave the club in the January transfer window.

Recent reports had claimed that the Brazilian international might return to Brazil due to a lack of regular playing time at Arsenal.

Since joining from Manchester City a few years ago, Jesus has faced challenges with injuries and fitness, which have limited his opportunities on the pitch.

Ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League clash with Monaco, Arteta clarified the situation: “Reports of Gabriel Jesus leaving and going to Brazil in January are nonsense. Like all strikers, they go through phases and moments. His attitude has been really good. We’re going to support him as much as possible.”
