NPFL: Akwa United appoint Uko interim technical adviser

Ime Uko has been named the new acting technical adviser of Nigeria Premier Football League side, Akwa United. Uko replaces Mohammed Babaganaru, who resigned from the position on Monday.

Uko, formerly the team’s psychologist, will be assisted by Umar Abdullahi.

Akwa United chairman Elder Paul Bassey announced in a statement on Tuesday.

“At the moment, the team’s psychologist, Coach Ime Uko, will act as the technical adviser while the assistant coaches led by Coach Umar Abdullahi are in charge of the team until a substantive head coach is named,” Bassey said.

Akwa United currently sit in 19th place on the league table with 16 points.
