Sunshine Stars have confirmed the appointment of Abubakar Bala as their new head coach.
Bala will take charge of the Akure club following Kennedy Boboye’s resignation from the post last month.
Boboye cited interference in his job by the club’s management as reason for his action.
Assistant coach, Bobola Akinfolarin has been in charge of the team since Boboye’s departure.
Bala previously managed the Nigerian National League, NNL club, Doma United.
He once had a stint with Niger Tornadoes, Kwara United and Lobi Stars coach.
