Economic hardship: INEC staff in Abia begs Gov Otti for worker’s bus

The Staff Welfare Association, SWA of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Abia State has appealed to Governor Alex Otti to support the association with a bus to cushion the effect of economic hardship on workers.

Speaking at the Annual General Meeting, AGM, of the staff in Umuahia, the Chairman of the INEC Staff Welfare Association, Collins Eze, said in the face of the economic crunch, where transportation costs always rise, transportation support from the State government would assist workers to come to work regularly and promptly.

At the event, Eze said the association had been appealing for a bus from the state government in the past to no avail, saying that he will not relent in bringing their needs to the fore.
