NPFL: Rangers extend unbeaten run to 10 games

Holders Rangers maintained their unbeaten run after holding Katsina United to a draw at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.

The Flying Antelopes have now failed to taste defeat in 10 consecutive Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, games.

Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side currently sit in third position with 28 points from 17 games.

In Port Harcourt, Rivers United returned to winning ways courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Kwara United.

Akeem Akanni stunned the home fans when he gave his side the lead after 18 minutes.

Rivers United rallied through goals from Timothy Zechariah and David Benjamin.

At the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, Heartland were forced to a 1-1 draw by Bendel Insurance.

Promise Anyanwu put Heartland ahead after six minutes, while Michael Enaruna equalised for Insurance eight minutes from time.
