Oli theft: Navy deactivates six wooden canoes, others in Bayelsa

The Nigerian Navy Ship, NNS, SOROH has discovered and deactivated an insertion point with six wooden canoes, a generator, cables and pipes within the Igbomatoru axis of Bayelsa State.

In a statement on its verified Facebook page on Monday, the Nigerian Navy said the operation was carried out on Thursday, 5 December 2024.FB IMG 17343697645223158

It added that on Friday, 6 December, the NNS SOROH patrol team intercepted and impounded two wooden boats conveying numerous sacks of illegally refined AGO within the Kongo axis of Bayelsa State.FB IMG 17343697426213809

“Lastly, on Thursday, 12 December 2024, NNS SOROH personnel discovered and confiscated 2 canoes laden with an unspecified quantity of stolen crude oil and a metal drum in Igbomatoru community, Bayelsa State,” the statement said. FB IMG 17343697598649317
