Transfer: Ligue 1 club, Saint-Etienne line up move for Dessers

Ligue 1 club, Saint-Etienne have been linked with a move for Rangers forward, Cyriel Dessers.

Dessers has found himself on the bench at Rangers in recent weeks after the emergence of Hamza Igamane, who has scored five goals in his last six games.

The 30-year-old has further been pushed down the pecking order following Danilo’s return from injury.

The former Feyenoord star has struggled to win over a majority of the Rangers fans since his arrival at the club despite his impressive scoring record.

The Nigerian has scored 12 goals across all competitions for the Gers this season.

According to the French outlet, Le Republicain Sportif, Saint Etienne has a strong interest in signing Dessers.

Rangers would be looking for a fee of just shy of £3.5 million for the striker, who is under contract at Ibrox until 2027.
