Man Utd: You’re right – Amorim replies Rashford’s ‘new challenge’ comment

Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim has responded to Marcus Rashford’s comment after he dropped the forward from the squad that defeated Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend.

Amorim left Rashford out of Man United’s squad that defeated Manchester City 2-1 at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Amorim’s decision has led to speculations about Rashford’s future with Man United.

Two days after the match, Rashford insisted that he is “ready for a new challenge” amid his future at Man United.

Speaking ahead of Man United’s Carabao Cup quarter-final tie with Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday, Amorim insisted that Rashford is right for saying he needs a new challenge.

“He [Rashford] is right [for saying he needs a new challenge],” Amorim was quoted by Fabrizio Romano as saying at his pre-match interview ahead of Man United’s clash with Spurs.

“We have here a new challenge, the biggest in football.

“We are in a difficult situation. I hope all my players are ready,” he further stated.
