Police seek information on child abandoned in Adamawa hotel

The Adamawa State Police Command is seeking information about a child abandoned at a hotel in Demsa Local Government Area.

Media Talk Africa learnt that the child was left at the reception of Peoples Hotel, located in a community named Nasarawa Demsa, by an unknown mother.

The police command, which has taken possession of the baby, is now seeking collaboration with well-meaning members of the public to locate the child’s family.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said on Wednesday that the baby girl was abandoned by her mother, who told people at the hotel that she wanted to get food for her. The said mother allegedly did not return, prompting the hotel staff to report to the police.

“Any useful information that will aid investigation to trace the child’s parents or relatives will be appreciated,” the police spokesman said.

He appealed to members of the public with relevant information to call 08065604764.
