‘We’ll use peace, artificial intelligence to defeat troublemakers’ – Gov Fubara

Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has pledged to use peace and artificial intelligence to address conflicts and overcome troublemakers.

Fubara vowed never to resort to fighting to resolve disputes, regardless of the level of provocation.

He made this statement on Thursday during the formal inauguration of Eze Oha Apara Palace for Eze Worlu-Wodo, the Paramount Ruler of Ekinigbo and Eze Oha Apara IV, in Rumuigbo, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.

He said: “As they’ve said, if it were in other cases, I wouldn’t be interested. No, no, no. I don’t play politics that way. He’s our chairman, he’s from Rivers State, and whatever we’re doing, it’s not my fund; it’s the resources of the state.

“No matter the level of provocation, try to control your temper. We don’t use fights to resolve fights. You use peace, apply it well, and employ the Artificial Intelligence method to defeat troublemakers.”

Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, have been at odds over the political structure of Rivers State.

Their rift has impacted the State House of Assembly, with lawmakers aligning themselves along loyalty lines, thereby causing divisions within the assembly.

Earlier this year, the assembly was bombed amid the ongoing tension between the two leaders.

Despite President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to mediate, the cold war between the governor and the minister persists.
